Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that operates around the world to help bring modest and affordable housing to the community. With homes built through volunteer work, Habitat for Humanity helps bring communities closer together for a common goal.

100 Homes from Habitat for Humanity

In 2015, Habitat for Humanity finished their 100th home here in Las Vegas, and we at Rystin Construction are both privileged and honored to work with such an organization.

Keeping with the spirit of creating a beautiful and affordable home, Rystin Construction has had the opportunity to provide Therma Tru’s expertly crafted fiberglass entry doors. These exterior doors help conserve energy costs and are extremely low maintenance. Inside each home, openings are fitted with Masonite interior doors. These doors are made with wood by products, which use less waste and make the doors more environmentally friendly. In addition, they have a composite facing that make them resistant to warping and shrinking. Each door is fitted with a Kwikset door lever that provides both security and style to these beautiful homes.

Habitat for Humanity is responsible for the creation and preservation of over 800,000 homes since first founded in 1976. In Las Vegas, Nevada alone they have constructed with the help of the community over 100 homes. With homes scattered throughout the Vegas Valley, Rystin Construction hopes to continue to work with such an amazing organization and provide the material needed to bring the community together and build homes for deserving families.

Canyon Falls was built with one thing in mind: Luxury. Located in the Southwest Valley of Las Vegas, Harmony Homes put their creativity to the test when they constructed these single-story family homes. With the largest floor plan capping out at 4,900 square feet, Canyon Falls features 18 foot ceilings and open designs with options including a wine room, a second laundry room inside the master suite, and a three-car garage plus casita, instead of a standard four-car garage. These nearly half-acre homes are large enough to accommodate everything from boats and RV’s, to swimming pools and sports courts in the backyard. This establishment was finished in 2012, but there is nothing old or outdated about these houses.

Doors, Trim, and Hardware Installation

Rystin Construction was responsible for the doors, trim, and hardware installation. The exterior materials used were provided by Thermatru. We used their Smoothstar 6 Panel, entry doors – suitable for energy conservation and class. The interior doors used were Masonite’s hollow core, 2 panel, square top doors, which complimented the 6 panel entry doors flawlessly. The interior doors are made of composite materials, which makes them more resistant to warping and cracking. Each door was set with Kwikset’s Dorian Satin Nickel lever that gave the home a clean and sophisticated finish. Franklin Brass bath hardware was the finishing touches to complete these perfect family residences.

Rhodes Ranch homes are fitted with Therma Tru fiberglass entry doors which provide security, energy efficiency, and easy maintenance. The Masonite interior moulded doors offer peace of mind with its composite wood that is resistant to warping and cracking. The American made 3 & ½” baseboard and 2 & ½” casing that comes standard throughout these homes creates a perfect finish. All homes are equipped with Schlage door handles, which come in a variety of styles and finishes that accentuate the Moen Eva bath accessories beautifully.

Keeping Up With Changing Trends

Rhodes Ranch has been in development for over 10 years, and as the times change so does the design and details to their homes. Recently, several new plan options have been added to the community bringing a total of 14 different floor plans to choose from. These homes offer new entry doors, interior doors, and hardware styles to choose from.

About Rhodes Ranch

Door & Hardware Installation

The American made and matching 2 & ½” baseboard and casing outline the Masonite molded interior doors. Masonite interior doors can come in either hollow core or solid core and both are resistant to small amounts of damage. The Therma Tru fiberglass entry doors are very energy efficient, weather resistant, low maintenance and come in the same style as the interior doors. The doors are finished with Kwikset levers and handle sets which add to the character and security of the homes. Completing the look of the home, Rhapsody is fitted with Moen bath accessories that vary from a traditional to a more modern appearance.
